Restylane® Dermal Fillers

Restylane® Injections: Non-Surgical Wrinkle Treatment

Woman in her 40s smiling and looking off to the side

Restylane® is a natural and versatile dermal filler that offers smoother skin, plumper lips, and greater definition to the cheeks and chins. Restylane® is a gel-based, non-animal hyaluronic acid, which is a natural component of human skin. It requires no allergy testing, which makes it a safe, popular treatment for cosmetic facial rejuvenation. Restylane® is mixed with lidocaine, an anesthetic, to make for a virtually pain-free experience.

“Amazing team! I felt confident I was getting excellent care. I got extremely detailed instructions, and my questions were answered satisfactorily. The procedure’s results were above and beyond my expectations.”

How Restylane works

Restylane® treatments are quick office procedures that offer long-lasting but not permanent results. Most commonly used to smooth the nasolabial folds (the “parentheses” that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth), Restylane® enhances volume and vitality to skin with no need for anesthesia or downtime. Restylane® is also an effective lip enhancement treatment, used for plumping your lip volume and refining your lip line. It can be used to add subtle contour to features such as your cheeks and chin as well.

Pain-free Restylane injections with PRO-NOX™

While many non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments are tolerable to most patients, we want to make sure your experience is as relaxed and comfortable as possible. That’s why we now offer PRO-NOX as an add-on option for your Restylane treatment.

What is PRO-NOX?

Have you ever heard of “laughing gas?” We typically think of the dentist when we hear nitrous oxide, but its ability to help ease discomfort and make you feel calmer can be a benefit in many situations—including your next cosmetic treatment at Plastic Surgery Services!

PRO-NOX is a self-administered nitrous oxide system that gives you control of your own comfort during treatment. Simply breathe through the mouthpiece when you need a bit of a relief, and the PRO-NOX system will deliver oxygen and nitrous oxide. You’ll feel it take effect in a matter of seconds—and when you’re done, it will wear off just as quickly. With no lasting effects, PRO-NOX is a great way to ease your pain and anxiety and then get back to your day.

Ask us about including PRO-NOX during your next appointment or contact us for more information!

Maryland plastic surgeon Dr. Henry Garazo is proud to offer Restylane® to his patients at Plastic Surgery Services. For a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment for both women and men, ask Dr. Garazo about facial rejuvenation with Restylane. The treatments restore your skin’s volume, creating a softer, more youthful look. Depending on factors such as skin type, age, and the issues you want addressed, results from Restylane® treatments can last from 4 to 12 months. You will see immediate improvement.

  • Volume Restoration: Restylane effectively restores lost volume to the face, including the cheeks and lips, promoting a more youthful and revitalized appearance.
  • Wrinkle Reduction: By filling in and smoothing out wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines, Restylane helps achieve a smoother, more rejuvenated skin texture.
  • Lip Enhancement: Restylane can enhance the shape, structure, and volume of the lips, offering natural-looking results for those seeking fuller lips.
  • Minimal Downtime: Restylane treatments are non-surgical and require little to no downtime, enabling patients to return to their normal activities shortly after the procedure.
  • Long-Lasting Results: Depending on the specific Restylane product used and the area treated, results can last from 6 months to over a year, providing a durable solution to age-related volume loss and wrinkles.
  • Dermal Fillers: Injectable products used to add volume, smooth wrinkles, or enhance facial contours; Restylane is a prominent brand of dermal filler.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: A naturally occurring substance in the body that helps retain moisture and adds volume, serving as the primary component in Restylane products.
  • Juvederm: Another brand of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, similar to Restylane, used to address wrinkles and add volume to facial features like the lips and cheeks.
  • Lidocaine: A local anesthetic commonly incorporated into Restylane and other dermal fillers to reduce discomfort during and after the injection process.
  • Lip Enhancement: A cosmetic procedure aimed at increasing the fullness and improving the shape of the lips, often achieved with Restylane fillers.
  • Marionette Lines: Vertical lines that extend from the corners of the mouth down towards the chin, which can be softened or eliminated with Restylane injections.
  • Nasolabial Folds: Deep creases running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth, commonly treated with Restylane to reduce their appearance.
  • Restylane: A brand of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers used for smoothing wrinkles, sculpting lips, and improving facial contours.
  • Restylane Lyft: A specific product within the Restylane family designed for deeper injections to add volume and lift in the cheeks and correct age-related midface contour deficiencies.
  • Restylane Silk: Formulated specifically for lip augmentation and the smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth, offering finer, more precise results.
  • Results Duration: The length of time the aesthetic improvements from Restylane injections last, which can vary depending on the specific product used, treated area, and individual patient factors.
  • Recovery Time: The period following Restylane injections required for any swelling or bruising to subside, typically minimal, allowing for a quick return to daily activities.
  • Touch-Up Treatments: Additional Restylane injections that may be performed after the initial treatment to maintain or enhance the cosmetic results.
  • Units: The measurement used to quantify the amount of Restylane injected, with the required units varying based on the treatment area, desired outcomes, and individual patient characteristics.
  • Volumization: The process of adding volume to facial features, such as cheeks and lips, or filling in hollow areas, achieved with Restylane products.
