Breast Augmentation Leads to Enhanced Quality of Life
The results are in—women DO feel better about themselves after undergoing breast augmentation surgery. According to a recent plastic surgery survey, they not only appreciate their new look, but they also enjoy social interactions more and even have a more satisfying sex life.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) discussed these survey results in a June 2012 blog post, revealing that women are happier after a breast enhancement, which is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed in America. In fact, in 2011, more than 300,000 women received this operation that can significantly enhance self-esteem.
The three areas in which women reported how breast augmentation improves life showed up in the psychosocial, sexual, and self-image ratings. The survey showed that women’s levels of satisfaction with their new silhouettes rival that of people who have hip replacements, a dramatic procedure that allows people with debilitating disabilities to achieve new freedom. It’s no wonder that board certified plastic surgeons like me constantly receive inquiries about the various options for breast enhancement!
Breast augmentation increases the size of your breasts and can restore volume that’s been lost over the years. It creates balance and symmetry in your figure, and helps the clothes you love to hang gracefully on your body. And based on the survey, there’s a very good chance you’ll be more than happy with how a breast augmentation affects your life.
I’m delighted to share the results of this survey with you. Click here to read more on the ASAPS blog.
